About
Leading a new vision for aging
I’m Dr. Rosanne Leipzig, and my passion is transforming how we think about aging. I’m an Emerita Professor and Vice Chair in the Department of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City.
I speak to a wide range of audiences about aging as a life transition—one that involves change, loss, adaptation, and continued opportunities for meaning and engagement. Drawing on more than 40 years as a geriatrician, educator, and advocate, I combine clinical insight, research, and lived experience to challenge ageist assumptions and offer practical, realistic guidance for aging well. I particularly enjoy interactive talks that invite reflection, discussion, and reframing — whether with older adults, caregivers, health professionals, employees or organizational leaders.
What’s normal, what’s not, and what can you do about it? You’ll find practical tips on aging, myth-busters that challenge common beliefs, and exercises to help you reimagine what the second half of your life can be.
